GUNNER DAHL

MR. GUNNER GRAVENGAARD DAHL, beloved husband of Joan, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 15th, 2003, after a courageous battle with lung cancer, at the age of 70 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons; Kent (Michelle), Michael and Mitchell, his beloved granddaughter, Erin, his brother; Ole, his sisters; Ruth and Sonja (Egon) and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Aksel and Marthe and his brother, Willy. Gunner was born in Hemmet, Denmark on July 13th, 1932 and moved to Canada in 1958 where he settled in Alberta. In 1971 he married his love, Joan, in Coeur D’alene, Idaho. They raised their family in Calgary where Gunner worked as a carpenter for 26 years. He retired to Vernon, B.C. in 1999, surrounded by loving family. Cremation preceded the Funeral Service which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 22nd, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend John Moorhouse officiating. A Reception will follow in the Tea Room at Bethel Funeral Chapel. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Gunner to the B.C.
