Harasymchuk Lavinia

Lavinia Antoinette (Toni) Harasymchuk passed away peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2007 at Noric House, Vernon. She will be lovingly remembered by her five children Marie (Ted), Arnold (Gail), Sonja (Les), Carole and Helena (Dan); seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one great- great grandson. Also survived by two sisters Louise and Kathleen (Glen); many nieces, nephews and extended family. Toni was predeceased by Samuel, her husband of 55 years, sister Yvonne and brother Johnny. Born on October 14, 1920 to Arnold and Marie Bogert of Ashton Creek, Toni was the eldest of five children. After graduating from high school in Enderby, she became a registered nurse and it was through nursing she met and married Samuel in 1944. They lived and raised their children on the family farm on Back Enderby Road until 1966 when they moved into the city of Armstrong. It was at this time that she became involved with the Brownies and took up bowling. Toni enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and especially visiting with family, friends and neighbours. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2007, at the Odd Fellows Hall, Armstrong. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Toni may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Condolence messages may be emailed to the family at pafsarmstrong@telus.net.
