J.E. “Vincent” Leroux

J. E. “Vincent” Leroux, born in St. Brides, Alberta, April 5, 1940, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 19, 2010 in Vernon, British Columbia. He is survived by his Wife, Margaret, to whom he was married for 48 years; sons, Lauren (Renate), Ken (Marlene) and Vaughn (Stacy); 8 grandchildren, Rachelle (Brian), Devon (Katie), Jesse, Lindsay, Kieran, Jordan, Corbin and Mackenzie. Also survived by 6 sisters, Cathy, Marie (Roger), Theresa (Ian), Trudy (William), Sandra (Dennis), Lillian (Jim) and 2 sisters-in-law, Laurette and Esther. Predeceased by parents, Eusebe and Jessie; and sisters, Alice and Carrie, brothers Rod (Liz), Dan, Phil and brothers-in-law, Marcel and Raymond.

Vince spent the past 33 years in Vernon working at his business, “Personal Tax”. People will remember him by his passion and involvement in the Gateby/Schubert Centre Project while with the Knights of Columbus and O.C.P.C.S.

A celebration of Vince’s life will take place at St. James’ Catholic Church in Vernon, BC with Father Dale Normandeau. Prayers will be held on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. with the Funeral Mass taking place on Saturday, March 27 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the St. James’ Parish Centre.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so, may send donations in memory of Vince to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC, #4-1551 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna, BC V1Y 9M9.

His family would like to thank Father Dale Normandeau and Vernon Funeral Home for their help and services and would like to thank all of Vince’s doctors and nurses for their care to this wonderful man.
