Jean Lobsinger

Jean Mildred Lobsinger

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother Jean Lobsinger, (nee Smith) on December 31st, 2007 at the age of 80 years old.

Jean was born on June 18th, 1927 in Kitchener, Ontario. She moved to British Columbia when she retired at age 60 from Sears Canada to be closer to her two daughters Janice Marshall (Lorne), grandsons – Bradley and Cameron, and Gail Ginn (Tom) and a granddaughter Laura. She also has a son – Grant Lobsinger (Patty) and

another granddaughter – Julie, in Bright, Ontario.

She had many interests throughout her life that she enjoyed. She was a Provincial Leader with the Ontario 4-H club for young ladies. She loved to sew her own clothes, to garden, and was always surrounded by beautiful flowers that she would enjoy growing and arranging. She was always very creative and took up painting after her retirement. Reading was also a passion as was her love for music. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice which she was called upon to use on stage in a musical in her younger days.

May she rest in peace in Gods loving arms and once again be given the opportunity to raise her voice, this time in His glory. You will be missed mother, but never forgotten.

At her request, there will be no service in Vernon. Her interment will be at the family plot in Kitchener, Ontario. Donations can be made in her name to CNIB.
