John David Robinson

John David Robinson (Judd/J.D.) – Beloved Grampa, Dad and friend passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 5/05 at age 84 with loved ones by his side. Born Dec. 30, 1920 in Lewvan, Sask. one of 9 children born to Thomas and Edna Robinson. After leaving the Royal Canadian Airforce he farmed in Sask. until 1969 at which time he moved with his wife and three daughters to Vernon, B.C. He was with the Auxiliary R.C.M.P. and then a Commissionaire at Hiram Walker. He retired at the age of 64 from a fulfilling career at Canada Safeway. During his retirement he enjoyed traveling, fishing, golfing, baseball and curling. Much of his retirement was spent enjoying his 4 grandchildren. He will also be greatly missed by his all his cribbage partners and friends from the Royal Canadian Legion where he was a lifetime member. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his daughters, Brenda (Ralph) Quaife and children Tyler and Lindsey of Calgary, Alta. Cheryl Cook and son Jason of Vernon, B.C. Diane Robinson (Jeff) and daughter Chelsea of Vernon, B.C. One brother Gordon (Marg) Robinson of Qualicum Beach, B.C. Sisters Eileen Ledingham and Ruth (Len) Hamblin of Regina, Sask. Lois (Fritz) Mascher and Maxine (Ken) Gulstene of Calgary, Alta. and Phyllis Fraser of Edmonton, Alta. and many nieces and nephews. Please join family and friends for a Celebration of Life at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 25, 3300-31 Ave. Vernon, B.C. (Upstairs) on Wed. Feb 9/05 at 2:30 pm, casual dress.
