DRIBNENKI

JOHN ALBERT DRIBNENKI born in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan on June 3rd, 1903 passed away peacefully on April 22nd, 2003. He and his wife Kay were married at Wandering River, Alberta in 1935 and they farmed on their homestead for several years. They moved to the Edmonton/Clymont area and worked on their acreage, and John also worked for Calgary Power in the 1950’s. John and Kay moved to Winfield in 1973 to retire. John moved to Gateby in 1993. He was always a loving father and grandfather and a friend to all who know him. He was predeceased by his nine brothers and three sisters, and his wife Kay in 1990. He is survived by his four sons: Jim (Wanda) of Vernon, Alvin (Louise) of Creston, Ed (Georgina) of Winfield and Don (Sheila) of Edmonton, seven grandchildren: Scott, Wendy, Denise, Kevin, Gayle, John, LeeAnne, and eight great grandchildren. The family of John Dribnenki are very grateful to the entire staff at the Gateby in Vernon, for all the loving care given to him there. We also wish to thank Dr. Hugh Clarke for his professional care. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in memory of John, may choose the charity of their choice in lieu of flowers. The service will be held on Monday, April 28th, 2003 at 11:30 A.M. in St. Edwards Catholic Church in Winfield with Father Tim officiating. Followed by interment in the family plot at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
