Judy Sedge
March 31, 1951 - September 24, 2017
Judy Sedge was born on March 3rd, 1951 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and passed away peacefully on September 24th, 2017 in the North Okanagan Hospice at the age of 66 years.
Judy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ron, to whom she was married for 39 years; one daughter, Kelsey (Chris) Nudd of Nanaimo, B.C.; three grandchildren, Olivia, Alex and Rachel; one brother, Mark (Jill) Dayton of Cobble Hill, B.C.; one sister, Linda Dayton of Cowichan Bay, B.C.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John Dayton; her parents, Joe & Millie Dayton; and one daughter, Christy Maygard.
Judy touched a lot of hearts while she lived among us, as a woman who was a thoughtful friend, respected co-worker, loving wife, caring sister, cherished auntie, nurturing mother and generous nana.
She spent many years involved in the Vernon School District, starting in various school libraries and offices, and eventually finding her place at the School Board Office.
She enjoyed many rounds of golf as a member of the Vernon Golf and Country Club, walked and ran many miles with the Vernon Pacers and loved taking vacations in Maui with her family.
Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Judy's Life which will be held at the Vernon Alliance Church, 2601-43rd Avenue, on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with a Reception following in the church Fellowship Hall.
The family would like to thank Drs. Hayward, Rankin and Hardy, the staff at North Okanagan Hospice as well as the numerous chemo nurses and volunteers who helped Judy along her journey for the past three and a half years.
