Judy Trickett

October 22, 1941, at Victoria, BC - September 28, 2017, at Vernon, BC

TRICKETT, Judy (nee Reside) passed away suddenly at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on September 28, 2017, at the age of 75 years old.

Judy was predeceased by the love of her life husband, Bob Trickett; mother Margaret Holm; father, Jim Reside and step-father, Emil Holm.

Judy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tracey (Gordy) Vriesinga and her grandson, Kyle Vriesinga.

She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Ron (Barb) Trickett; sister, Beverly (Mon) Verheyen; nieces, Jan (Russ) Mills, Karen (Cam) Trickett, Lynne Larsen, Valerie (Andre) Meesschaert; Stephanie Verheyen; nephew, David (Dede) Trickett and many great nieces and nephews.

Judy was born in Victoria on October 22, 1941, where she lived until her early twenty's. Her teenage years were spent at Carly's barn riding horses.

After Judy and Bob were married in 1962 they became involved in the Sports Car Club of BC. She was Bob's crew chief and biggest fan during his racing of TR3's and a Competition Morgan before moving to Formula V's.

Judy's love for animals took her to Brookswood Vet Clinic many years ago and after moving to Vernon in 1994 she worked for Creekside Animal Hospital as their receptionist. She felt very comfortable in hospitals, her first job was working in the records department at Victoria Jubilee Hospital and her last job was as a volunteer for Vernon Jubilee Hospital up until 2015.

Judy along with Bob were always involved Tracey's activities from Sun God Skating Club, to the BC Quarter Horse Association, to Miss Rodeo Cloverdale and Miss Rodeo Canada Committees.

The second love of Judy's life was her grandson, Kyle. She spent many hours at school events, and watching the sports Kyle participated in. She shared her love of racing with Kyle and was his biggest fan.

No matter how far they travelled, Judy was always there with her stop watch and note pad ready to go. She followed Kyle to races across Western Canada and the US.

Judy's daughter wishes to especially thank Gordy, Kyle, Uncle Ron, Auntie Barb and Jan for being such a loving and devoted family to her beloved Mom.

A celebration of life will be held at the family home on Judy's birthday, October 22, 2017, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
