We regret to announce the death on May 24, 2007, at Hospice House in Vernon, of Kazimir Dziedziuch, at the age of 93 years. Kazimir was a resident of Vernon since 1958, and was a retired career employee of C.N./C.P. Rail. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Karolina; son Bishop (Judy) of Victoria; daughters Kasha (Jim) Lanyon of Kelowna and Lily Kerr and son-in-law Stewart Kerr of Vernon. He is also survived by grandchildren: Kevin, Michael, Chad, Kyle and Jessica; brother Michael in Poland, and sister Mary in Regina, and a number of extended family members. Prayers were recited at St. James’ Roman Catholic Church in Vernon on Monday, May 28. Funeral Mass was celebrated there on Tuesday, May 29, with the Reverend Father Don O’Reilly and Father Richard Hanaczewski co-celebrant. Interment followed in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Kazimir to either the Cancer Clinic at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, 2101 – 32 Street, V1T 5L2; or to Hospice House, 3506 – 27 Avenue, Vernon, V1T 1S4. The family wish to express their gratitude to Drs. Ross and Mori, and to the caring staff and volunteers at Hospice House. Arrangements are in the care of Vernon Funeral Home. 542-0155
