It is with great sorrow and heartache that we announce the sudden passing of Kelly Albert Brausse from a heart attack at the age of 59 on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Roslin, ON. He was born on April 2, 1958 in Estevan, SK.
Kelly was known for his sense of humour, funny faces, love of children, dogs, Star Trek and motorcycles. He enjoyed God’s beauty all around him, whether in the forest or near the lake. He loved being around people and was always the first one to lend a hand to his family and friends. Good food made his eyes light up, especially his Mom’s home cooked meals! Kelly had a curious mind and was a whiz with computers and with fixing things. One big dream that came true for Kelly was owning his own motorcycle. He, his special friend, Barb Dombroskie, and his friends in the International Brotherhood of Deaf Bikers put many happy and glorious miles on their bikes in Ontario. Kelly worked as a janitor for many years, in Vernon and also in the Belleville, ON area.
Kelly was predeceased by his dad, Albert Brausse. He is survived by his mom, May Brausse; brother, Murray Brausse (Connie); sisters: Brenda Krieger (Gary) and Lori Baillie (Don); nephews: Adam Brausse and Steven Brausse; nieces: Kallie Brausse, Amy Baillie, Jennifer Brausse, Melissa Brausse, and Becky Tomlin (Darcy); step-nieces: Jadewyn Zingre (Cliff), Toni Krieger and Nicole Krieger; and his ex-wife, Janice Brausse. Kelly had a special place in his heart for the Groulx and Bailey families back in Ontario. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends in Vernon and Ontario.
The Celebration of Life will be held at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
