passed away in Hospice House, Vernon, BC on Thursday, August 19, 2004 at the age of 64 years. A celebration of life service and reception will be held from the Cambie Hall, east of Sicamous, BC on Sunday morning, September 5th at 11am with Jack Bowers presiding.

Her brothers will share tributes, Harvey providing the eulogy and Terry singing, with an opportunity for family and friends to share further memories. A family graveside service will be held at her parent’s grave, Victor and Mary Hantula, at Solsqua Cemetery. Born in Solsqua, BC on November 3, 1939, Marie has lived in Vernon for the past 23 years. She is well remembered for her passion of flowers and gardening as well as her love of nature and animals. Another passion of Marie’s was music and dancing, bringing back memories of her early years of Saturday nights at the Cambie Hall. Marie is survived by her loving family, daughters, Sherri (Ken) Caswell of Vancouver, Lisa Aho (Jim Cruickshank) of Coquitlam, son Allan (Julie) Aho of Revelstoke; 4 grandchildren, Lorne and Brett Caswell, Nikki and Tyson Olynyk; two brothers, Harvey Hantula of Kamloops and Terry Hantula of Solsqua; as well as several nieces and nephews.
