BUTLER

LILLIE HELEN BUTLER was called Home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 24th, 2002 at the age of 81 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Michael (Mary Alice), Douglas, Linda and Steven, her great-grandchildren, her sisters; Corinne, Josephine, Joyce and Dorothy and many nieces and nephews. She had three children, Shirley, Ralph and Kenny, who all died many years ago and she is now at Home with them all and with her Mom who she missed so much. Lillie was much loved as a sister, mother, aunt, gramma, great-gramma and friend. She loved life and enjoyed it fully. In her younger years she lived in a cabin and as a single mom, hunted to feed herself and her son Kenny. An artist, she painted, made apple dolls, cabbage patch kids, beautiful quilts and very decorative rugs. Her family all tasted the biscuits, breads and soups she loved to make and share. She was well known for making the best expresso coffee before it’s time – “first you put the whip cream in the cup, then the coffee.” Lillie also loved sewing, furniture making, hunting, fishing, animals, of which she had cows, lambs, horses, chickens, ducks and Creature, her dog. Cremation preceded the Memorial Service which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 27th, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Lillie to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Endowment Foundation, designated for the Polson Multi-Level Unit, 2101-32nd Street, Vernon, B.C.
