Linda Lorraine Deuling

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Linda Lorraine Deuling, a loving wife, devoted mother, loyal friend, on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the Vernon & District Hospice House. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Chris and Phyllis Ruppel. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Leslie, one son, Greg (Sherry) of Lumby, one daughter, Charlene (Iftkhar) of Coldstream, and one grandson, Tristan. She is further survived by her brother, Al (Liz) Ruppel. Linda will be sorely missed by her family and friends. She was an avid gardener and loved canning the fruits and vegetables from her orchard and garden. Linda was a member of the Mabel Lake Community Association and was Gardener of the Year numerous times. She was a champion horseshoe pitcher and a dedicated member of the Lumby & District Historical Society. Linda and Les arrived in the Mabel Lake area in 1968 – a modern pioneer family. Cremation. A social gathering to honour Linda will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Old Age Pensioners’ Hall on 1737 Glencaird Avenue in Lumby, B.C. Flowers gratefully declined. Those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Linda may do so to the McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Clinic, c/o Vernon Jubilee Hospital, 2101-32nd Street, Vernon, B.C. V1T 9Z9.
