It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Loree Sellar at Hospice House in Vernon, BC on November 27, 2009. Loree was born in Flin Flon, MB and grew up in Saskatoon, SK. She lived most of her adult life in the Edmonton, AB area before moving to Vernon, BC in 2001. Loree had the most beautiful smile that lit up the room and warmed the hearts of all those who knew her. Her family often referred to her as a living saint or angel on earth, and her strong faith never wavered, enduring difficult times with utmost grace. Her unconditional love, patience and selflessness made her an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and her acceptance of all those around her left us much to emulate.
Loree was predeceased by her husband, Tony Sellar and her parents, Alex and Mary Wasylow. She will be forever cherished and always missed by her two daughters, Leslie (Scott) and Jen (Tigger); son Chris (Barbara); grandchildren Aiden & Conner, Charli & Skylar, and Cohen; brother David (Terry), as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
The funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church (10202 Middleton Drive, Coldstream, BC) on Thursday, December 3rd at 11:00 a.m. with Father Dale Normandeau, Celebrant. Interment will take place following the service at St. Nicholas Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Okanagan Hospice Society (3506 – 27 Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 1S4). Condolences may be offered at www.vernonfuneralhome.com.
