Lottie was born in Poland on September 22, 1919 and came to Canada in 1928. She lived in Vernon, B.C. working as a cook and in the fruit packing industry. In 1940 she married Gus and moved to Kamloops where she waited for him to come back from fighting the war in Europe. In the early 1950’s they moved to Vancouver, B.C. where Lottie worked in bakeries, butcher shops and then as a cook in private homes, Vancouver General and Shaughnessy Hospitals and finally at Simon Fraser University. Gus and Lottie also sponsored dances once a month and donated the proceeds to charity. They retired to Gabriola Island in 1979 where they lived a happy and fulfilling 17 years. Lottie will be long remembered for her loving and outgoing nature, her wonderful meals for friends and family, her amazing recall of special events and of course her crib games. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff at the Nanaimo Seniors Village and Dr. C Walker for their care and compassion during Lotties’s last few months.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered
