LOUISE BUTLER

BUTLER (NEE BEAVO)

Louise Margaret Butler left us for her next adventure on Friday, June 4, 2004. She died in her 91st year, in her own home, peacefully and purposefully, surrounded by love and care. Predeceased by her husband Douglas Ormonde Butler in 1988 after 47 years of marriage in Ontario, and by her brother William Arthur Beavo in 1994 in B.C. Hers is probably the last of the Beavo name. She is so fondly remembered by her daughter Janice & son-in-law Ken of Vernon, with whom she lived for the past 12 years; their children, Tim, Hilda Pickard, great granddaughter Sarah Pickard, & Matt (Robyn); also her sons David of Missassauga, Ont. and Paul (Beth) of Newmarket Ont. & their children Blake (Tanya) of Richmond Hill, Ont. & Kerry (John) of Innisfil, Ont. Born in Revelstoke, B.C. to the late Lenna (Somerville) & William Arthur Beavo Sr., she left at the age of 17 to further education in nursing at UBC, then later in Occupational Therapy graduating in class of 1937 University of Toronto. Her family always came first in her life, and she particularly enjoyed reading and the challenge of cryptic crosswords. She requested cremation with no formal service. There will be a Celebration of Life held at her home, 5617 Allenby Cres. on Friday, June 11, 2004 from 3 to 5pm. If desired, please donate to Hospice House, The Allan Brooks Nature Centre, or your own choice. Observe the birds, take time to smell the flowers, be gentle to yourself. Please email condolences /messages to louisebutlerbeavo@shaw.ca. A warm woman – A good wife – a loving Mother. Arrangements are in the care of PERSONAL ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL SERVICE. 558-0866.
