Lucy Ethel Carpenter

Lucy Ethel Carpenter passed away peacefully on February 8, 2010 at Noric House in Vernon BC. Ethel was born on July 10, 1916 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and has resided in Vernon for the past 68 years. Over the years, she and Ron enjoyed their time at the ‘camp’ at Mabel Lake, where they both loved fishing, music and entertaining family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ron, in 2002 and is survived by her two sons, Bruce Carpenter (Caroline) of Vernon BC and Ken Carpenter (Penny) of N. Saanich BC and by grandchildren Kim Morden (Bob) of Anmore BC, David Carpenter (Veronica) of Duncan BC and Scott Carpenter (Elissa) of Calgary AB. Great-grandchildren Brett and Kelsey Morden, and Rowan, Selena, Evan and Dylan Carpenter also morn the loss of “GG”. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Noric House and to numerous relatives, friends and professionals who made it possible for Ethel to rest comfortably and happily during her final days. A special thank you is extended to Helen Brandt of Vernon and her niece Isabel Saunders of Nanaimo for their many kindnesses and dedicated support to Ethel over the years.
