It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Mrs DeeDee Dulaba on Monday, April 4, 2005 at the Vernon Hospice House, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was very much loved and will be missed by her husband Arthur, of forty two years of marriage, her son Brad and grand-son Jamie.
DeeDee is survived by her sister Marion (Don) Swanson of Vernon, B.C. and two brothers, Roy (Terry) Teasdale of Duncan, B.C. and Clyde Teasdale of Coquitlam, B.C. as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. DeeDee was born in Quebec City, P.Q. and was the daughter of Capt. Joseph and Mary (Grey) Teasdale. She is predeceased by her sisters, Margaret, Helen and Janet and a brother Earl. DeeDee is also survived by two aunts, Germaine Teasdale of Montreal, P.Q. and Glads Lavers of Halifax, N.S. and an Uncle Joe (Margo) Teasdale of Quebec, P.Q.
DeeDee and her husband Arthur moved to Vernon in 1998 from the Coast. DeeDee was the Head hostess at the Terrace Grill at the Bayshore Inn Hotel in Vancouver. In 1963 she was chosen Miss C.R.A. and then was named Miss B.C. Hospitality at the second Annual hotel-motel restaurant Convention.
A special thanks to Dr. Leco, Chartini and the radiation staff and the B.C. Cancer Agency in Kelowna, Dr. Sholomenko and Dr. Bateman, The Willow Clinic and Dr. Fedorchuk and staff at the Vernon Hospice House and the Community Nurses, Jeanne Duncan and staff.

Prayers will be said at Our Lady of the Valley Church on Sunday April 10, 2005 at 6:00 P.M. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 11, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. with Father Martin Peyton officiating. The address of the church is 10102 Middleton Dr., Vernon, B.C. Interment to follow at the family plot in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
