Surrounded by family our beloved Margaret Ams answered the call to be with her ancestors in her home on September 4, 2017.
Margaret was predeceased by her sister Norma Long, she will forever be remembered as the loving wife of Fred Ams, courageous mother of Ken Hoey, Barbara and Sheila Turner, sister of Harry Zachozy and grandmother of Camilla Hoey.
Margaret will also be remembered by her cousin Grace Clarke, nieces Tracy Sikora, Meagan, Colleen and Heather Zachozy. Step daughters Adelle Smith, Rose Fonos, step son Kevin Ams, step granddaughter Grace Smith, Shelby and Lydia Mackie Fonos, in addition to many other family and friends.
Marg loved to spend time in the kitchen cooking, baking and preserving. She had a deep love of the Okanagan Valley which provided her an endless supply of reasons to be in the kitchen. Marg enjoyed knitting for the hospital as well as volunteering her talents at various clubs in Vernon throughout her life time, most notably the Halina Seniors Drop in Centre.

There will be no memorial service. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Vernon Hospice House or Halina Seniors Drop In Centre in the name of Margaret Ams.
