Margaret Isobel Hogan (nee French)

March 14, 1942 – October 19, 2017

Margaret (Miki) passed away peacefully, family by her side, in Hospice Care Vernon BC after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was a fighter and an inspiration to all, a strong and independent lady.

Pre-deceased by husband Richard (Dick) Hogan.

Survived by her loving children Kari Hogan (Daughter) Christopher Hogan (Son) and Anthony (Grandson).

Brothers Jim (Sheila) and Gregory, much loved niece Janine Stanley-Smith (Jordan) and nephew Deegan French.

Margaret was an 8-year volunteer with the Vernon Visitors Center, and put many hours working on Vernon Winter Carnival events, she was a talented quilter, an avid walker with her dog’s, her passion was old classic cars (she restored her 1967 Mustang), gardening, shopping (she collected shoes and hats) and traveling (Greece, Singapore, Hawaii). She made a huge impact on anyone who knew her…. she had a heart of gold and was always lending a hand to help others before herself. She leaves an amazing legacy and will be dearly missed.

Please consider a donation to the Cancer Society or the SPCA in her memory.
