Maria Wilson-Jimmy (nee Saddleman)

It is with great sorrow that the Saddleman and Wilson families announce the passing of their beloved “Mama” on Monday, June 21, 2010, after many years of struggling with Lupus.

She is survived by her husband Stephen and her sisters Lucy and Josephine and her brothers Emery and Ranger. Her children Veronica (Roger), Nadine, Debbie and David. Her Grandchildren, Nicole, Laura, Holly, Lindsey, Brittany, Natalie, Lloyd, Rosie, Rosalie, Michael, Morgan and Chenoa. Her great-grandchildren, Cameron, Jacob, Dante, Shia, Kianna and Keenan.

She was predeceased by her brother Albert Saddleman. She was born on Oct 21, 1937 in Vernon, B.C. to Albert and Della Saddleman

(nee Armstrong).

Our mama loved to care for people and it inspired her to become a Registered Nurse after she finished raising her children. She worked in Kamloops for many years at the Phoenix Centre before moving back home to Vernon. There she was able to be with and help nurture her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved them all in her own way and it was evident by the countless photographs she has of them all.

Wake to be held at the Head of the Lake Hall, Friday June25, 2010 and Service to be held at St. Benedicts at 2:00 pm on Saturday June 26, 2010.

She was our Rock… and forever missed.
