Marie Rose Reidlinger

Marie Rose Reidlinger passed away peacefully at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on January 21, 2006, at the age of 81 years. She had been a resident of the Vernon area for over 50 years, and was a longtime member of the Schubert Centre, an ardent bowler, and a noted competitive swimmer. Marie was predeceased by a brother, Hugo; sister, Polly; and her husband Joe, in 1996. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by sons: Terry McCollum of Vancouver and Ken (Mary) Reidlinger of Fort St. James; daughters Barbara Porup (Jerry Crane) of Armstrong and Judy (Peter) Kane of White Rock; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother, Robert (Alma) Fochler of Okanagan Center, sister Olga Honeyman of Castlegar, sister-in-law Clara Fochler of Prince George, and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 26, at 1:00 P.M., in the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. A reception will follow in the Tea Room at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Marie to the B.C.
