Martin Kelunick
April 23, 1958 - October 3, 2017
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother and friend, Martin Kelunick (Marty Kelly) on
October 3, 2017.
He was born April 23,1958 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Ernie and Joyce Kelunick.
He was pre-deceased by his brother Randy, father Ernie, an infant brother, and ex-wife Debbie Kelunick.
He is survived by his caring mother Joyce, brother, Danny (Carol) three sisters, Jody (Brian), Cindy (Rick), Terry (Steve) and 7
nieces, Dana, Tammy, Cory, Lauren, Andrea, Kiana and Nicole.
He was of many talents; an artist, a writer, street minister, store manager, meat cutter, salesman and comedian who was well
known in the Vernon community.
He dedicated a large percentage of his time to raising money for several charities including the Vernon Transition House, the Kidney
Foundation and the Salvation Army. He would give you the shirt off his back even if he didn't have one.
He was also known for his many many card tricks and wasn't afraid to walk up to a strangers table and show off his card trick ability.
Special thanks to Marty's friend Trevor for all the emotional support and care he gave. Marty will be missed by all who knew him.
My Brother
I saw him as a poet
A comedian at heart
Engaged in acting roles he'd write
Such gifted talent from the start
I saw him as pesky brother
Who could seldom hold his tongue
He'd ramble on with much to say
Ever since he was so young
His heart was of such deep felt passion
For the simple things in life
He'd pick you up when things were down
In random times of solemn strife.
My poetic, pesky brother
With so much talent to embrace
But most of all he found a peace
In deep belief of Father's grace.
Rest in Peace Marty.
