1916 - 2017
Mary passed away peacefully at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on July 31st, 2017 at the age of 100 years and 9 months.
Mary was a lifetime member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 167 of Lumby (Ladies Auxillary) and a lifetime member of the OAPO.
She is survived by her loving family: sons: Edgar, Otto (Diane), Art (Debbie); daughters: Frieda (Jim) Ross, Hilda Eckert, and Dorothy (Art) Betke; brother, Andy Doering; 3 sisters: Louise Huber, Lillian Ell, and Eva Sauve; 20 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; extended family and friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Albert, in 1976; sons, Robert and Freddy; grandson, Chad; and numerous brothers and sisters.
The Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on August 26th, 2017 at the Whitevalley Community Hall in Lumby.
