MAYNARD CARBERT

We regret to announce the death in the Alexander Wing of Vernon Jubilee Hospital on June 8, 2007, of Mr. Maynard Embree Carbert, at the age of 85 years. Maynard was born and raised in Ladner, but was a resident of the Enderby area since 1933. He worked in the logging industry and farmed until his retirement, and has been a hobby woodcrafter for many years. Maynard will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Charlotte; sons Glenn (Susan) of Falkland and Dennis (Barbara) of Clyde, Alberta; and daughter Marjorie Kircky of Calgary. He is also survived by grandchildren: Marshall, Aaron, Margo, Bruce, and Myles; and four great-grandchildren; brothers Gordon (Mary) of Ponoka and Ross (Maxine) of Summerland, sisters Lesley Schweb of Vernon and Muriel Hoover of Agassiz, and many extended family members. Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, June 22, at 2:00 P.M., at St. Andrew’s United Church in Enderby, with Mr. Jim Sharman officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Maynard to the B.C. & Yukon Heart and Stroke Foundation, 202-3402-27 Ave., Vernon, V1T 1S1.
