Mr. Maris (Morris) Aarnoudse

Mr. Maris (Morris) Aarnoudse was born on June 10th, 1910 in St. Philipsland, The Netherlands and passed away on August 16th, 2005 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 95 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Rena, to whom he was married for 36 years, his son, Pieter (Ann) Aarnoudse of Revelstoke, B.C., his daughter, Lettie (Lynn) Maloney of Vernon, B.C., four grandchildren; Jack (Laurie), Terry, Steven (Candace) and Deanna (David), his great-grandchildren and many extended family members. He was predeceased by his first wife, Nell in 1968, two sisters and one brother. Morris came to Canada in 1948 and settled in Westlock, Alberta where he became a mechanic by trade. He lived and worked in Westlock until his retirement and then moved to Vernon in 1978. Morris was a very gifted man and had a brilliant mind. He also built three homes for his family during his life. Morris loved the great outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. One of his hobbies was the making of his own wine which he became famous for amongst his family and friends. Cremation preceded the Funeral Service which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Monday, August 22nd, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. As an expression of sympathty, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Morris to the charity of their choice.
