Born on January 26, 1927 in Armstrong to immigrants from Belfast Ireland. Muriel took life head on and enjoyed sports, friends and without hesitation helped with work on the farm. Life and her hairdressing business took her to Lumby where she met the love of her life Henry Martin. There they lived and loved raising a large family and built a successful business (Monashee Lumber Co.). Later they moved to Vernon and enjoyed life fully in the B.X. Years and a good strong life went quickly by with growing family gatherings, trips to Europe, Africa and South America being some of the highlights. Her life was tested after her dear Henry’s death in 1987. Her large adoring family and her home in the countryside strengthened her.

After a fruitful life she was brought home to her eternal reward for a life well lived.
