We regret to announce the death at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on January 1, 2007, of Norman Thomas

Mansell, at the age of 87 years. Norman

was born in Britain, and served during the Second World War in the British Army prior to moving to Canada. He had a long career with Canada Post and was a longtime resident of the Lower Mainland prior to moving to Vernon three years ago. As a young man he was a gifted amateur athlete, and was a lifelong soccer fan, pool player and singer, and as award winning gardener. Norman was predeceased by his beloved wife, Molly, in 1998. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughters: Margaret (John) McSweeney of Vernon and Norma (Andre) Dauvin of Prince George; grandchildren: Danny (Wendy), Robert, Sherry (Brian), Andrea, Jason (Terri); 10 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church in Coldstream on Friday, January 5, at 10:00 A.M., with the Rev. Father Martin Peyton, celebrant. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Norman to the charity of their choice. Arrangements are in the
