Olga Poggemiller

Mrs. Olga (Price) Poggemiller (nee Zimmerman) was called Home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, November 18th, 2005 at the age of 95 years. She was born in Saratow, Russia on October 19th, 1910 and immigrated with her family to Calgary, Alberta in 1926, then to Vernon, B.C. in 1928. On December 1st, 1932 she was united in Holy Matrimony with Leo Price at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vernon, B.C. Leo predeceased her in 1968. In 1975 she married Fred Poggemiller, who predeceased her in 1998. Olga will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughters; Helen (Sandy) Third of Vernon, B.C. and Lydia (Tony) Cumming of Kamloops, B.C., her grandchildren; Diane (Randy) Forsyth of Vernon, B.C., Don (Jamie) Third of Surrey, B.C., Wendy Cumming of Kamloops, B.C., Michael Cumming of Calgary, Alberta and Sharon (James) Donaldson of Surrey, B.C., her great-grandchildren; Kristen, Kayla, Karalyn and Matthew Forsyth, Nicholas, Samantha, Ashley and Jeremy Third and Jordan, Emily and Justin Donaldson, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by two sisters; Lydia Zimmerman and Molly Zimmerman and two brothers; Alex Zimmerman and Walter Zimmerman. Olga will always be remembered for her generosity and deep love of family and friends. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great- grandchildren who brought her great joy. She was a life long member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a true servant of the Lord. We, the family, gratefully acknowledge all the staff at Noric House for their loving care and concern for Mom and to Dr.Long for his understanding and compassion. The Funeral Service will be held at St.John’s Lutheran Church on Friday, November 25th, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Paul Phillips and Reverend Garwood Rentz officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
