OMAR HASON

Mr. Omar M. Hason passed away at Hospice House in Vernon on Friday, February 13, 2004, at the age of 73 years. Born on June 4, 1930 in Toronto, he served in the Canadian Army during the Korean War. Omar moved his family west in 1966, living in Williams Lake for a short period before moving to Prince George, where they lived for thirty years prior to moving to the Okanagan in 1997. This fulfilled a longtime dream and enabled him to make many new friends, which was his best trait. Predeceased by a daughter, Carol, he will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Rita, her sister Barbara (Dennis) and four sons and two daughters: James (Sandy), John (Julie), Steve (Christine), Paul (Heidi), Johanna (Dean) and Janett. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives, foster children, and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, at 11:00 A.M., at the Vernon Christian Fellowship, 4506-29 Street, in Vernon. Friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Omar to the Vernon Hospice House, 3506-27 Ave., Vernon, V1T 1S4. Arrangements are in the care of Vernon Funeral Home. 542-0155.
