November 15, 1941 - August 19, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John on August 19, 2017 in Vernon, BC. He was born in Birmingham England, raised and educated in Cornwall, England.
John married Phyllis in 1965 and moved to Armstrong in 1972.
He was a proud man that valued hard work. He loved his wife dearly, was an amazing father and grandfather (Gdad). His love of his books and stamps were well known.
He was a good friend to many people.
He is lovingly remembered by his children Grenville (Christine), Loveday, Britt (Luke), and Fabian; his sisters Pat and Jenny (Harry); in-laws: Elsie (Ivor), Muriel (Fred), Bill (Janet), Henry (Margaret), and Vera; grandchildren Will, Mitchell (Nicole), Sage, Taylor, Dean, Corlee, Saphira, Sophia, and Shakira.
John is predeceased by his wife, Phyllis and brother-in-law Guy Rowland.
John was laid to rest alongside his beloved wife, Phyllis at the Hullcar Cementary.
There will be a tea for all who wish to celebrate his life on Friday August 25, 2017 (2-4) at Alternatives Funeral and Cremation in Armstrong BC.
