1930 - 2017

It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Seighart “Sig” Krusel on March 11, 2017 at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

Sig grew up in Vernon from the age of 6. He later joined the Canadian Army. He retired from the Calgary Police Force in 1974 before returning once again to Vernon.

He was very active in the Kiwanis Club of Vernon - Four Seasons and managed the Kiwanis Village for 18 years.

He is survived by his wife Cindy of 24 years, sons Larry (Cathy) and Keith (Adele) of Calgary, step-son Darrin Hywarren of Vancouver, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Brothers Henry, Lou & Bill; sisters Evelyn, Lenora, Delores & Lorraine. Extended Hywarren family out east: Elmer, Ernie, Terry, Tom, Dennis, Robert, Beverly as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was predeceased by his first wife June 1992 and his son Brent in 2014.

There will be a celebration of life April 8th, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Schubert Centre. Those wishing to do so can make a donation in memory of “Sig” to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation “Intensive Care Unit” 2101 - 32nd Street, Vernon, BC V1T 5L2.
