passed away suddenly on October 30, 2009 in Vernon. Les was born on December 11, 1950 in Vernon.
Survived by his best friend and partner Susan; sons Ben (Jennifer) and Tom; mother Mavis; brothers Bryan (Michelle) and Grant.
A long time resident of Vernon, Les will be remembered as an owner of the Vernon IGA. Les loved sports and the outdoors. When he was younger he played in a competitive hockey league and was a valuable member of the Armstrong Shamrocks Senior Lacrosse Team. When older, Les especially enjoyed watching tennis, hockey, football and golf. He spent many hours in the garden and liked the physical activity at splitting and hauling firewood. A kind, gentle and thoughtful man who will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Sports For Kids Foundation. At his request, there will be no service.
