Thelma Quesnel

Jan. 12, 1930 – Nov. 1, 2006

With her husband at her side and surrounded by love, Thelma Quesnel passed away peacefully at Vernon Hospice House. Thelma was born in Lumby to William and Cora Brett. She married Roy and together they lived and worked on their ranch for nearly 60 years.

Both Thelma and Roy were leaders of the Lumby 4-H Beef Club for 27 years and

received honors for their dedication and

service. Thelma was also involved with the Lumby Queens Committee for several

years. She is survived by her husband Roy, sons Douglas (Linda) of Parksville, B.C.,

Bob (Becky) of Lumby, six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, one great grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends.

We wish to extend sincere appreciation to

Dr. John Wheeldon, Community Care Nursing, and the staff at Vernon Hospice Society for their kind and compassionate care. At Thelma’s request there will be no service. In lieu of

flowers donations to Vernon and District

Hospice Society would be appreciated.
