Terry was raised in Owlseye, AB, near the town of St. Paul, with 10 siblings on the family dairy and hog farm. She completed school and then attended Vermillion College of Agriculture. In 1950 she met the sweetheart of her life (Roger) and they were married November 15, 1951.
Kids arrived at different stops along the way, Louise in 1953 in Trail, BC, Terry in 1959 in Lumby B.C. and John in 1962 in Kelowna, B.C. Terry and Roger never let the roots set too long, until finally they settled in Armstrong on their 17 acre farm on Otter Lake Cross Road. Terry loved the farm, they raised beef, goats, chickens, geese, and ducks and had a horse or two around, you get the picture. She even milked a Jersey cow by hand for a couple of years.
She was involved in 4-H, the Catholic Women’s League and also volunteered in other organizations.
After Terry suffered a slight stroke and endured brain surgery, they sold the farm in 1990 and moved into town, with her final move to PV Manor in 2014.
Terry spent many happy hours with her sister Margaret, canning fruits, vegetables and salmon, baking tourtiere meat pies and playing cards.
Terry was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Roger Fournier (January 2000), and son-in-law Robert Wagner (December 2008). She is survived by her children; Louise (Bruce), Terry, and John (Shelley), grandchildren; Heather (Esbern), Colleen (Trever), Michelle (Doug), Matt (Kristen), Marc (Kelsey) and Jessica (Colin); great grandchildren; Maria, Erik, Terrence, Autumn, Brynn and Brooklyn
She will be forever missed by her loving family.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Terry on Monday July 24, 2017 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Armstrong.
