We regret to announce the passing of WERNER JOHN LOEB at Hospice House, in Vernon, British Columbia, on Tuesday, September 2, 2003, after a long battle with liver disease. He passed peacefully and with his family beside him. Werner was born in Beaujour, Manitoba, on Saturday, April 20, 1940. Left to lovingly remember him are his: wife, Marilyn, to whom he was married for thirty-nine years; daughter and son-in-law Jo-Ann and Stan Spada; son and daughter-in-law, Steve Loeb and Julie Nabata; precious grandchildren Rylee and Zachary Spada; sisters Lil (Hank) Kohen and Rena (Ron) Albeluhn; best buddy and cousin Dennis (Marg) Arlt; mother-in-law Joyce Brind; brothers-in-law Gordon (Meryl) Walterhouse, Brian Brind and Stanley (Dorothy) Walterhouse; numerous nieces and nephews; and very special friends Birk and Cheryl Lundman. Werner was predeceased by: parents Michael and Luise Loeb; brother Harold Loeb; father-in-law Thomas Brind. A Celebration Service in honour of Werner’s life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2003, at Mountain View Funeral Home in Armstrong, B.C., with the Rev. Ken Jones officiating. Reception will be held in Tea Room of Mountain View Funeral Home with interment to follow at Cliffside Cemetery, Enderby, B.C. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to do so make memorial donations to the Hospice House in Vernon, the Liver Foundation or the Cancer Society.
