1917 – 2007
It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our dad Wilfred Bonneau at the age of 90, on October 23, 2007. Dad was born and lived his whole life in Vernon, where he was Chief of the Okanagan Indian Band, a farmer and a logger. Earlier in his life he was also a trapper and a hunter. One of his greatest passions in life was being across the lake, and going out on the range. This is still a place where much of his family loves to gather. He is survived by his wife, Gladys, 6 sons, 5 daughters, 34 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 3 of his children, 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the Catholic Church at Head of the Lake at 11 am. Burial will be at the Head of the Lake Cemetery.
