William Paul Sherba

On Saturday December 24th William Paul Sherba ended his brave battle with cancer and lung disease surrounded by his family. The unofficial goodwill ambassador of Admiral Lane will be missed by all. Survived by his adoring family, Anne Sherba (wife), daughters Kellie, Joanne (Tino) Varelas and Connie (John) Hilpert, grandchildren Genevieve, Nathan, Rebecca and Steffan, mother-in law Nellie Struck, brother Peter Sherba, sisters Betty-June Gair and Darlene Calyniuk and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Bill was born in Vernon, B.C. and later settled in Prince George, B.C., where he met and married his wife of 49 years. Together they raised three admiring daughters. Bill was best known as a businessman who later pioneered the independent convenience store and food wholesale business throughout the northern interior of B.C. Bill was able to retire a few years back and move to his new home in Ladner B.C. Here he was known to all by his new title “DIDO” as he continued with his endeavours to pioneer the lives of his newest project, his grandchildren.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the valiant efforts of the nurses and staff of the VGH Respiratory unit. A very special thank you to Dr.’s V. Neumann, K. Gin, J. Yee and M. Fitzgerald.
