William Turanski

William (Bill) Turanski

Born August 19th, 1925 in Ketchen, Sask.

It is with great sadness and love that we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather,

great-grandfather and husband, Mr. William (Bill) Turanski, in his 81st year, on June 30th, 2006.

Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Vicky, his son Robert (Cheryl) of Vernon, grandsons Josh and Noah, his daughter Charlene (Rob) Johnson of Vernon, grandson Ryan (Chrissy) of Abbotsford, great-grandsons Taylor and Kyle, and grandson Dr. Steven Johnson of San Diego, California.

Bill’s memory will also be treasured by his brother Pastor Ed (Audrey) Teranski of Vernon, sisters Helen (Mike) Novakowski of Vernon, Lisa Connolly of

New Westminster, Anne (Alex) Kucheran of Quesnel and Jean Aleka of Orange County California, many nieces, nephews and numerous extended family members from the surrounding area, the valley, Canada and the United States.

As a pioneer family from Sask. (1911), Bill’s family, Aunts, and Uncles, emigrated to the Valley in the mid 1940s. Bill spent his time working as a farmer, horse logger, underground miner in the Copper Mountain region near Princeton and 26 years with Weyerhaeuser Canada, Lumby division, before retiring 16 years ago.

Those we love don’t go away,

They walk beside us every day.

Unseen, unheard, but always near,

So loved, so missed, so very dear.

Your soul will never be replaced and we thank you for sharing your life with us.

Rest in Peace.
