I would like to thank Brown Socialhouse in the Village Green Centre for its thoughtful and kind gesture when my mother was in the hospital.
She was not feeling well or eating much and we were trying to get her to eat and build up her strength.
Knowing that she likes creamy pasta, we thought we would try to find some to take up to her.
Not being from Vernon, we were not sure where to go and stopped at the mall.
Seeing the Brown Socialhouse there, we thought we would give it a try.
We were greeted at the door by a very pleasant man and after explaining what we wanted, he told us no problem and the wait wouldn’t be long.
In only a short time, he returned with a bag containing a creamy pasta for my mother.
When I asked him what we owed, he told me there was no charge and he hoped my mother had a speedy recovery.
There was enough for my mother to enjoy two small meals. She said it was delicious.
This small act of kindness was greatly appreciated. She is on the road to recovery
