After reading in the newspaper that the City of Vernon has been awarded $1,661,843 in gas tax refunds to make strategic investments in many different project categories, maybe our illustrious city council could direct a few of those dollars into painting the local crosswalks in town.
I know its only August, but there is still time to paint them before the kids are back in school or the snow starts falling, or even before the next civic election.
