Puppy abandoned

Early morning of June 28 someone driving into town on Westside Road hit a four-month-old black Lab puppy and left him to die in the middle of the road.

I received a call from my friend who had stopped to help another lady to move the dog to the side of the road. These ladies had to get to work so I flagged a fellow down and  had him lift the dog into my car whereupon I took him to Creekside Animal Clinic. To all those people, I say thank you for stopping and caring. To the person who hit the dog, I hope you have some conscience and will give a donation to the Creekside vets for taking care of the remains of the puppy as he died just as I arrived at the vet's.

He died in pain in my car from internal injuries and I wish to thank Dr. Watts for coming early to work in an effort to save the pup. To the owners of the puppy, we all tried to save your member of the family and we are sorry.
