Greater Vernon shines in spotlight

Well done Greater Vernon! To host the BC Winter Games takes dedication, patience, and generosity and the entire Greater Vernon area brought those pieces together to stage a very successful event this past weekend.

Top-level athletes were treated to superior facilities and received enthusiastic support from the over 2,300 volunteers.

The leadership shown by Games’ President Akbal Mund and Vice President Jim McEwan over the past 24 months ensured athletes, coaches, spectators, and volunteers alike were treated to an event all of Vernon can take pride in.

It was truly “Your Time to Shine.”

On behalf of the BC Games Society Board of Directors, thank you very much for making these BC Winter Games a remarkable experience.

Kelly Mann
