Just recently, the Nature Trust of B.C. organized a restoration project on the former Kaminsky property at Swan Lake.

And there was help from several local naturalist club members who donated their free time planting small trees and shrubs to restore some of the riparian wetland along the foreshore of Swan Lake.

And at the same time, a few kilometres away, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure was busy at work destroying the wetland and floodplain at 20th Street.

It is great to see that many people actually do care about the environment.

And a thank you to one man from Canadian Boats Unlimited who provided some massive buckets of water from the lake to give the newly planted trees and shrubs a head start.
