Ever wonder where the tax you pay on the gas you buy to drive your/boat/motorcycle/car goes?
Supposedly, just a rumour mind you, the local roads are the beneficiary.
If you drive out Spallumcheen way, note the conditions of their roads.
For a small district, you have to wonder how they are able to maintain their roads. Who ever is in charge deserves a medal of achievement for the efforts put forth. Now compare these roads to what the provincial government has for us to drive on. Abysmal is the first word that comes to mind.
East Vernon Road, Dixon Dam Road, L & A Road, Rimer Road, and Baker Hogg Road, etc. haven’t been done for at least 25 years.
So where does the money go?
