Sadly no one in authority listens to anyone concerned about the detrimental effects of continuing developments anywhere and everywhere.
Growing up in Birmingham , England, I saw open areas and grasslands disappear to subdivisions. Now I’m seeing the same distressing happenings here.
The Stickle Road extension has had a lot of thoughtful opposition and alternatives, such as lights or a roundabout. These concerns and suggestions have not been heard or more likely just dismissed by those with a profit motive in mind. Initially, the Stickle Road expansion will cost a lot more than the other alternatives.
The economy, money and profit can no longer be the be-all-and-end-all of our thinking.
If we continue to poison the air, land, waterways and seas, there will come a time when we can no longer survive and the earth as we now know it no longer exists.
