Where are the road lines?

Resident concerned about safety on area roads

Driving during the day or, even worse, at night, the roads in Vernon and on Highway 97 are accidents waiting to happen because, thanks to winter, the paint for lane marking has all but disappeared.

I have seen repainting being done on various roads in the summer, but obviously, the caliber of the paint cannot survive our winter.

I drive in dread unable to see if I am in my proper lane or if I am in a turning lane.

Guess work is really not smart driving. I am certainly not alone in voicing this concern.

Surely, since work crews are out any way painting, we can acquire road paint that will survive our road conditions.
