Maroons miss wildcard magic

The host Fulton Maroons fell short on wildcard Saturday.

Fulton, coached by Sharon Shaigec, beat the Rick Hansen Hurricanes of Abbotsford 26-24, 25-15, but lost 25-18, 25-20 to Sentinel Spartans of Vancouver in senior AA girls volleyball wildcard action.

The Spartans move on to the provincials, starting Friday, at Little Flower Academy and Crofton House in Vancouver.
