Rockets trade winger Vasko

The Kelowna Rockets have traded European import right winger Filip Vasko to the Red Deer Rebels.

Vasko, a native of Humenne, Slovakia, was in his second season with the Rockets and had three goals and seven assists in 19 games.

In return for Vasko, the Rockets acquire a conditional sixth-round WHL bantam draft selection in 2013.

Vasko joined the Rockets last season and had 12 assists in 51 games.

The Rockets clipped the Tri-City Americans 3-2 before 4,769 fans Wednesday night at Prospera Place, their ninth straight home-ice victory.

Myles Bell, with two goals, and Dylen McKinlay, with 1+2, scored for Kelowna (16-8-1-1). Connor Rankin and Drydn Dow replied for the Americans (16-9-1-1).
