The Vernon Advertising Works Rebels earned a Petite ringette weekend split, starting with a 13-8 win over West Kelowna Saturday at Royal LePage Place.

Madison Fox led the Rebels with four goals and two assists, with Abygayle Williamson pocketing another four snipes. Hailey Quiring chipped in with 2+2, Alyssa Carter had 2+1 and Danika Bellamy added a single.

Fox and Williamson each collected 2+1 as the Rebels fell 6-5 to Shuswap White Sunday in Salmon Arm. Kathryn Simpson had the other goal, as the advertisers pulled their goalie in the last minute, but were unable to tie it up.

In other Petite action, the DCT Chambers Voltage zapped the Kelowna Ringers 14-5.

The Bolts got balanced offence from: Grace Cornell (3+3), Jaden Scott (2+2), Kalen Webster (2+1), Mackenzie Munroe (2+1), Amy Demetrick (2), Emma Elders(1+4), Bryn Taylor-Hawes and Emma Lochhead. Levi Knopf and Carly Newman were stellar defensively in front of Kenzie Koshure.

In Novice play Saturday, the Davidson Lawyers Orcas toppled the Kelowna Icebreakers 11-9.

Paige Neufeld, Mackenzie Gilman, Tye Krause and Daine Thoma all pocketed doubles, singles coming from Sierra Lochhead, Chayse Krause and Brooklyn Young.

The Big Kahuna Blue Dragons shaded Kelowna Black 5-4 in Novice action Sunday at Priest Valley Arena.

Black raced out to a 2-0 lead in the first period before Kristin Ho got the Dragons on the board late in the frame. With netminder Kaila Summerfelt anchoring the defence, the Dragons picked up the pace in the second period, with Ho (2), Emma Roine and Brynn Korol scoring to secure the win.

Kierra Newman earned two assists and Alassa Johnson had one.

In an all-Vernon Bunny battle, the Blue Lightning bounced the Black Panthers 6-4.

The Lightning’s Aimee Skinner and Makenna Jackson combined for seven points (3+4), while Peyton Trevelyan, Jordan Tung, Kristen Francks all pocketed singles. Assists went to Madison Edgar and Kennedy Jackson.

The Panthers three goals from Sierra Fernley, and a single from Lauren Cook. Sophie Winstanley and Lucia Manton were steady while under attack from the Lightning shooters. Payton Glowa and Taylor Stewart added great hustle for the Cats, and Brianna Visser showed a knack for creating turnovers.
